Magnetic drain plug

Last year, my then girlfriend/now wife bought a used '99 Grand Am. First time I changed the oil, I noticed the drain plug had a magnet on the tip with a fair bit of metal shavings on it. Of course, under my care there is practically nothing on it any more.

I'm thinking a drain plug like that is a good idea. Does anybody know where I can get one for my '02 Ford Ranger and my parents' cars?

Try superplug.com. not cheap but very well made.

Try the local autoparts stores 1st. Pepzone/autoboys/napa/advance use to have them mixed in with the drainplug/washer section.

I got a replacement for my Grand AM from PartsPlus..... cost me about $5 with tax.
