Magnefine in Pwr Steering circuit

They can see 60 psi...depending on the trans. A friend put a gauge on a TF904 for show...I was impressed at the reading.

I have a Magnefine under the guise of ATP JX150 installed on the 98 Beetle.

That same PS system crushed the NAPA 3003 filter media... :|

Anyways, with the Magnefine installed and having flushed the system for the last time(4x in the last 4 months, it kept turning fluid black) with Redline PSF, the fluid is staying nice and clear, and the pump is almost silent now. No noticeable difference on steering effort or feedback, so I think I got all of the gunk and old fluid out finally.

The old CHF11s had done 170,000km, so there was a LOT of gunk in the system. First flush was done with Maxlife ATF and it turned black in a day... lol

I'm kinda surprised by that high a reading. My Jeep has a 46RE, which is a 727 derivative, related to the 904. I don't know how much pressure builds in the lines, but the rubber lines hose clamped to the non-barbed metal lines (pretty tight fit even without the clamps) for the aux cooler have stayed put without leaking a drop for the 5k miles since I installed them.
