I will shortly do an ATF change in my 03' Ford Focus and plan on putting in a Magnafine Transmission Filter. It will be done by a professional.

When I order the filter (3/8")....does it have all the necessary clips and attachments to complete the job....or must I purchase them seperatly? The Magnafine website is not clear on this issue.

You may want to PM dbcardinal he is up on the latest tsb.Someone posted something about them not being recommended by Ford any longer.
My own experience is only with the one i used in a PS line that leaked badly after a short time at the seam, that was enough for me to drop the idea of putting it in the tranny line.
IIRC there was something about bypass pressure being to high but i am not 100% sure.

The ford TSB had to do with installing them on Ford remanufactured trasmissions. It said they did not increase reliability on them and thus should no longer be installed. It didn't say they were bad and not to install them.

I will be pulling the one off my Jeep and replacing it soon (if it every warms up). I will take apart and see what gives. I think its got 30K on the filter (90k total). I have maybe 50% Amsoil ATF due to two pan drops to replace the pressure sensor and governor and giving the shop Amsoil ATF to put back in. Hope I do not need another pressure sensor or governor. $500 a pop. Jeep parts not some cheap parts.
