Magic Erasers for Windshield

Really cuts things to the core on your windshield. Take note though it will probably remove any layer of water beading though.

I think they do a great job. I am though a super fan of these things.
Glass science has a great glass scrub and water repellent. The guy that started the conversation previously worked for Rain-X. There's another glass scrub sold at Napa but can't think for the life of me what the brand is.

Magic erasers (melamine sponges) are softer than glass so safe to use but rubber windscreen wipers are softer than glass too and yet our windscreens can still get scratched. To make sure no hard grit gets embedded in the sponge I wash the screen first before using a new magic eraser, they are cheap enough.

Having run out of them a few days ago I've just ordered a pack of 10 for £1.17 inc delivery. I'm not surprised that 10 sponges can be bought for £1.17 but I am surprised that they can be delivered for that.

Application question>>>>Is this the original Magic Eraser...or the one with Dawn (blue dots)....or the one with Fabreeze (purple dots)?

After limited use, I'm impressed with them; so much so that I've included them in 'CARE packages' sent to a niece who is just setting up house 1,500 miles away.

I use the original....

I love using them around the house. Gets expensive though.

They opened a few Daiso stores in my city and I bought some Made in Japan ones.

True Magic Erasers are one of my cleaning and maintenance go-to's. Word to the wise though, some of the dollar store and off-brand magic erasers can be inconsistent and coarse when compared to the Mr

Magic Erasers are effective, but be very careful surface-to-surface, as they are not gentle.
I always cover the dash when using it on the inside...

Magic eraser are a very fine abrasive, there's no abrasive grit in them, it's just the fibrous structure of the melamine sponge. If you use them on a surface that is softer than the eraser then they can dull the finish or wear through paint or other protective coatings. That includes most polished surfaces, even polished stainless steel. I use them on stainless steel with a brushed finish but not polished.
