Has anyone used the MAG1 4T syn blend in their motorcycle. Amazon sells it by a case of 6 ($4.33 per qt) which puts the price at <$18 a gallon. http://www.mag1.com/%5C/ProductDetails.aspx?id=947f82ea-71bd-41ca-abad-b830e0b42786

No experience but the trouble with blends is that I can never find the ratio of dino to syn to know if it is indeed cost effective...

And at that cost it is probably a Group III Synthetic mixed with a Group II or II+ Dino. So in essence it is all crude based more than likely. Good for normal OCI's more than likely depending on what you ride.

Mag 1 is made by the same outfit that makes Walmart's SuperTech oils, Warren Distribution. Probably OK oil, and the price is OK. Is any synthetic blend worth anything extra? We don't know. We don't know if the oil blender used top quality conventional oil plus top quality synthetic (yes, there are quality differences) to actually make a superior product (http://www.schaefferoil.com/supreme-7000-engine-oil.html), or if they used a low quality base oil, added cheap low quality syn, just met spec, and market it as a synthetic blend to boost sales.
