Maf Idle problem

Hey guys
I have an 05 altima 4 cyl 5 speed
I was replacing a headlight, so I took off the negative battery terminal.
It was off for about 30 mins,
when I done I just hooked it back up , started the car and drove off.
Now since then when I am stopped in neutral, the idle is irratic, and goes to 2000rpm, and takes 10-15 seconds to settle down to 1000rpm ?,

Is there a procedure when you hook the batetry back up again, like start the car and let it idle for 1-5 mins ?,

You do have to reset idle strategy after you disconnect the battery. Not sure about your specific vehicle, my Alldata doesn't go to '05 on Nissans.
Barring better advice: Warm the car up to op temp, disconnect the battery for 15 minutes. Hook battery back up, start engine with AC off, let idle stabilize, switch on AC, let idle stabilize and see how that works.
Eventually it should relearn idle speed by itself.

I had a Mitsubishi Eclipse that did this. I disconnected the battery, did the work, reconnected and started the car. It idled fine UNTIL the car began to move, at which time idle would go crazy, bouncing from 500-1500. It was determined that the idle air control valve was confused because the throttle body was dirty. After disassembly and cleaning, it never acted up again.

I also had a Honda Civic Si that idled strangely when it sat for about 15 minutes after driving. It got a new idle air control valve, and all was well.

Sounds normal to me.
The ECU has to learn many parameters over again.
You have to use the AC, as well.
