I am rebuilding an M45 (spare)supercharger for my mini. I found two scratches inside the rotor housing that i can sorta feel with my finger they are circular , looks like rotor dragged something along. Is rotor housing trashed now? I am getting a new rotor pack.

I have seen that on others.
I am going to go with its ok, but I'm not a pro.

My finger-in-the-wind guess is that the scratch that side is not going to make a discernible difference. Now if it were 3mm deep and 3mm wide I’d call it a problem, but how much air can get through a 1mm x 1mm gap in the time where those gears are spinning at 4000 rpm?

Alright now for the bonus round. The rotors are pressed into the gears and I need to pull them. Timing is super tight and critical it cant shift. How do I keep the rotors aligned? I have to press them out through these press on non timed gears.
can I take it to a machine shop that can cut some kind of slots in bot rotor shaft ends and use bar stock to align it? Not even sure if its possible

I'm betting those gears were pressed onto the shafts while there were very hot and the shafts cooled.
