I remember a time when these filters looked really good. Not so much any more.

Premium Guard XL with Valvoline R&P 5W30.

That is the same filter I had always ran on the Wife's Armada. I tried a synthetic endurance filter this time following all the recent pics of the present M1 filters.

I figured I'd cut open a couple of random M1 filters. When I opened this 102A the end cap wasn't even attached. SMH

Thank you for the C&P. Did you notice if it was easy to separate the media from the end cap?

Thank you for the C&P. Did you notice if it was easy to separate the media from the end cap?

I would say about 50% of you can just pull off. Some are glued pretty good. I didn't even touch this one. I opened it and it fell out.

I just cut up five more M1 filters, and some other random filters. I had two more M1 filters that the end cap just popped off without any real effort. They also seem to have a lot of random black glue just floating around on the end caps.

End cap popper DNA tranafere from M+H. The media looks flexible which probably helped it from failing. Louvers look pretty decent. What's the COO on this filter?
