Been doing it for the past 21k miles. Post Office lost my UOA, but I can tell you that my engine has never run smoother, and I can't find anything on my magnetic drain plug anymore.
The "bottom end problems" referred to are low oil pressure as a result of the thin oil and oil pump design. Not all engines get this, and mine only had it under the most extreme conditions.
The aluminum backed oil pump allows oil to bypass out of the pump at high oil temps, which reduces pressure enough that the phasers can't return to idle setting.
