LX 280 with Yellow Dash Ligjt

I’m starting to notice the yellow battery light is coming on after starting my LX280. It will run and finally flicker off. Did a battery check and battery checks out good. Ideas?

The yellow battery light is usually for charging. I would make sure all of the connections are clean and tight.

I just cleaned the cables and the battery posts. It was major corroded. Got some baking soda and water and got things cleaned up. Hooked it back up and the light came on and stayed on about 10 seconds and then went off. On my 30 year old Honda Rider, when that yellow light is a forewarning of a dead battery.

Mine is wired to the voltage regulator which is mounted on the side of the flywheel cover near the battery.
It looks like half of an M-80 firecracker and is red in color and just hangs there loosely.

Thanks! The “hanging loosely” is key. I’m supposed to mow Saturday and will see if I can locate it. Should be easy now.
