For the unbelievers - pantyhose fanbelt - note I use "flesh tone."

I read about that trick in a Popular Science or Popular Mechanics magazine in the '60s.

Now do that for a serpentine belt. You may have to use the "extra tall" pantyhose.

I saw that system implemented on my Dad's 1948 (I think) Humber Super Snipe when I was 4 or 5.

Mum's Panty hose got us home without cooking.

The generator was left unbelted/unloaded.

There's a few "ladies" in town who could do a serp belt...1640 on my Nissan in only 64 1/2 inches afterall..

This 'trick' got me home in a 1965 Triumph TR-4 once.

Since it was 1971 and I was in the middle of the Everglades on Alligator Alley when it was a two lane road to nowhere I was really happy I brought my girl with me!

I think we're related on my mom's side of the family. Her dad used to use old pantyhose as a gasoline filter. But, he always used a brown shade.
