Im certainly searching for bargains, just trying to void Chinesium while at it. Chinese tools are no bargain in lots of ways.

If youve got an issue with my buying strategy, then stay out of my thread.

I wasn't quoting you therefor I wasn't responding to anything you said. What makes you think I have a problem with your (or anyone else's) buying strategy?

You work for your money. Buy whatever you want.

Adjusted my wording, but you should know by now how it goes. I agree with you 100% to look for bargains, but you knwo what devolves into a lot of the time...

My apologies, my response was meant to be a but more broad than it came across...

Thanks. I saw those on Amazon and they look nice.

I have to wonder if Im best off just buying a few deep sockets in the right size. Is thin wall really needed? Is there anything special to lug nut sockets???

Isn't the purpose of thin wall lug nut sockets, to assure clearance inside recessed lug nut holes, on aluminum wheels? I would worry if you forego the thin wall, you may not be able to fit the socket in all wheels.

Probably so you don't grind the sockets against the inside of the holes on the wheel, especially if the lug wrench is not straight on to the lug.

Agreed, but how many/what wheels have this? Some of my wheels have the lugs fully exposed, not surrounded by anything or recessed.

Thin wall it is for best long-term utiliity I guess, since fancier and fancier wheels seem to be the trend...
