I have been wondering what is everyones take on Lucas engine oil treatment. I have read that it is 100% petroleum, so it should not do any kind of damage.

Worse than nothing.

Of course a thick low-grade petrol product can do damage. In my engine, it would be a nightmare.

RAN 23:
Just do a search. Overdiscussed topic. Only for the worst oil burner and even then I would use Motor Medic Motor Honey instead. Can cause foaming which is a MAJOR issue in a diff or the cranckase. Now go tell the Marketing Dept. it's still a hard sell to the BITOG community ...

Don't waste your money, they are slick marketers with, in my opinion, inferior products. They are big because people recognize the name. Save your money and buy a good oil. If you're looking for synthetics all the big names will do you (AMSOIL is GREAT). If you use conventional...Pennzoil, Havoline, kendall, valvoline in no particular order are fine. Stay away from the additives unless u have a muscle car or something, Sometimes they need a little extra ZDDP. Zdplus.com has a great additive for older cars.

Thumbs down to Lucas Engine Oil Treatment.

Other than anti scuff additives for rebuilt engines I can not see any oil additive being of any use .

Also so say all not some all engine manufacturers .

MMO thins out and cleans an engine, Lubro Moly engine treatment is a friction modifier with a whole mess of Moly and either would do a better job cleaning and or lubricating and it would keep things at least around a 30 weight oil.

All Lucas does is turn your 30 weight oil into a 60 or 70 weight oil. There are no additives in it, all components to thicken oil.
