Lucas Synthetic Oil?

They have great marketing and support racing and do a lot of good for the racing community.
Other than that I don't know anything about their oil.

There have been SEVERAL threads on this in the past.
It's basic SN stuff nowhere near the same tier as Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Ultra, I would personally consider it as the cheapest synthetic.

This VOA is old but very telling.... Low calcium with a small shot of sodium, no moly, no Boron, no magnesium. You can buy oils with a much more stout additive package for less. It's like they were trying to find the absolute cheapest formulation to meet SN specs, surely not exceeding them like top syns.

I really have had no dog in this hunt, as I have not ever been motivated to buy Lucas stuff. And from the various things I have read on BITOG, I am quite comfortable with not spending my money on their stuff.
I run their synthetic 2-stroke oil in my home-made blend for the chainsaws. It did cut down on ring coking. No other change. And it was/is not as clean running a Poulan Pro Synthetic...
I wouldn't run their car/truck oils. They can afford to sponsor race teams and track events because of their profit margin. That ought to say something ...
