Lucas Pure Synthetic Oil Stabilizer

Know that Bob did a test with the regular Lucas Oil additive but has anyone done a test with the Lucas Pure Synthetic additive? Just picked up a bottle of it and was debating whether or not to use it after i saw the results from Bobs earlier test. I've got a 05 Nissan Titan with 13k on it and dont want to be adding anything thats gonna screw up my motor. I was planning to run Mobil clean 5000 adding 1 1/4qts Lucas Synthetic to it since it calls to be mixed 4 to 1. Any information anyone has on this product would be greatly appriciated.

You've got a nearly new truck that's far from being totally 'broken in' and you're choosing a decent oil, so you don't have any need for the Lucas. Save your cash and buy an air freshener.

yeah but i was still going to use it in my wifes 2002 Honda Accord 4 banger that has 90k on it. Does the Lucas Pure Synthetic work, or does it do the same thing the regular Lucas.

I've been staring at my LSOS for a year too. I don't think it's the fact that it's synthetic or not, but the fact that Lucas doesn't add an anti foam agent to their other product. If they don't add it to their other product what would make you believe they would add an anti foam agent to their synthetic? I'm saving mine til I'm mad enough at my wife to put it in her car

I would rather spend that $15 on oil, although in your case you have chosen good oil to beging with. Your wife's honda would be happy without Lucas if you have been using synthetics in there.

Lucas' answer to anything seems to be "make the oil thicker". That isn't always the best idea.

I'd just keep running a quality oil and change it at an interval you've determined to be adequate thru oil analysis, and leave it at that.
