Lucas Oil Stop Leak

Has anyone used Lucas Oil Stop Leak? If so, was it effective, and was there any adverse effect?

I've been continually filling the reservoir with MaxLife power steering fluid, but I'm ready to try something else which could actually stop the leak.

Is this a PS unit that has the leak? Sealers don't work well in any case but especially in a high pressure environment like PS systems.
I don't like these products, they are seal swellers and swell every seal not just the one that is leaking.

Pumps are easy to swap but racks can be a PITA, there is no other sure fix other than replace or rebuild.

I have the Lucas PSSL in my saginaw, and it did stop the leaking, but it took a few months to do so.

I have a resealing kit ready to go, but don't know when I will go through the effort as no drips make it to the asphalt anymore.

The pump started leaking a year or two after replacing the steering gear which was a leaking badly. The Lucas had slowed that down considerably allowing me more time before replacement, and when I replaced it, only PSF was installed.

It was probably the use of the Lucas when the gear was leaking that started the pump leaking when the Lucas was removed, and I kind of feel stuck with using a stop leak product in my power steering.

The Lucas is so much thicker than PSF, I'm sure it is taking more effort to spin the pulley, although I can tell no difference in assist.

Thanks for the input. The car isn't really worth doing that much work on (20 year old Corolla), though I did recently have a new clutch put in, and it's been fine just making sure the reservoir is filled once a week, so I'll probably just keep doing that.
