Lucas in diff?

Anyone here of using 100% Lucas Oil Stabilizer in a diff? The lable states you can do so. I have a Unimog that has diff. on each wheel, thinking of using this instead of 140 gear oil. I have a small leak from a seal that has set for a while. Thanks

lucas is just thick unadditized oil. I'd use something purpose-made...

Get some Auto-Rx and some non-synthetic gear lube. The AUto-Rx might take care of the seal if it is not torn by restoreing it's elasticity. I would not use Lucas in a gear hub or in a diff.! Unimog's rock I thought about geting one a few years ago. You do not see to manyof them in the USA but they are great for offroading.
