I have been reading a lot about Lubro Moly and came across the 0W-40 product. The only thing is that it does not have the VAG 502 approval number whereas the Mobil 1 0W-40 does, wonder why?

Not all oil companies are willing to pay to have their oils certified by VW. That doesn't mean they wouldn't pass the certification if they tried. What's the HT/HS on that Lubro Moly?

There are many oils that meet the 502.00 spec, so if you're worried about warranty, choose one of those instead.

Hi

The "Lubro" looks like the "Liqui" in Germany

A few weeks ago, the 0W-40 had the VW 502.00, 505.00, MB 229.1 and Porsche, but now? No VW, no Porsche, only MB 229.1. I don't know why.

I would take the 5W-40 if you want a oil from Lubro Moly.

Greetings
Michael
