Lubrizol CVT Additive System

I found this product info sheet while doing some research on an upcoming CVT service for my mother's Altima.

Interestingly enough, those pictures and information seem quite similar to the propaganda on the Amsoil page:

Kinda makes me wonder if Amsoil is using the Lubrizol CVT additive package in their fluid.

AMSOIL has been working very closely with Lubrizol for as long as I can remember (over 30 years).
I suppose one could call it white propaganda.

Those are suggested treat rates for the example fluids.

It doesn't mean you have to use those fluids.

What they don't tell you is how much VII you need to adjust to the proper viscosity.

Lubrizol supplies Amsoil, Valvoline, and a host of other blenders.

CVT fluids differ from step-shift and DCT transmissions in that the important factor in friction modification is traction coefficients.

Lubrizol does not make an additive for CVTs that is an aftermarket product, correct? They are simply involved in the initial fluid formulation?

Lubrizol only makes the PI (additive) package for commercial sales.
