Went to fuel up my Dodge today. Pulled up to the pump and opened my toolbox to grab a bottle of additive. I had a 1/2 bottle of Ams diesel fuel additive. The high temp here has been below 20 degrees for 3 days and the low has been 0 with a 8 below 0 windchill. The ams additive was still in liquid form like it should be. I had a really pushy Lubrication Engineers salesman try and try to sell me a few of their superior products such as grease for 8 bucks a tube and i had to buy a whole case to get that price. He kept knocking Amsoil and how their products are inferior, not as good as his product hype. Well he gave me a bottle of their L.E. Diesel Fuel Improver so i could try it and be impressed with how well it would clean my injectors and blah blah blah. Well i had 1/2 of the bottle left and it was gelled up super thick and nearly frozen. Did a side by side comparisson with ams and it was like the Mobil 1 commercial comparing conventional and synthetic oils at below freezing temps. This stuff says it "makes starting easier in all weather" This stuff does not work for me. I have had better results with power service and howes. Im gonna call their home office tomorrow and poke a finger in their ribs. I think i will keep the contents in the bottle so if i ever see that salesman again............
