Lead and Fuel Additives My Recent Experince

Just today I recieved my first UOA on my 2003 Camry! Dureing the 6 month OCI I ran 1 can of B-12 Chemtool, 1 Bottle of Redline SI-1, 1/2 bottle of Lucaus UCL and some LC through the fuel system. My lead level was (0) and the universal average for the same milage is (2) so I do not know if we can make a definative statement about lead and fuel additives! I am thinking that in addition to the lead in the bearings it must depend what they are alloyed with as far reactiviity to fuel additives!

I like your theory. Have you done any research on what kind of alloys are used in the bearings in question?

I have tried to find out but no luck so far. From what I understand all bearing have some lead in them. THe difference is what they are alloyed with. From what I understand and I could be wrong aluminum,cadnium, copper and tin can all be used in varying degrees or you might just have say aluminum and lead or aluminum and cadium etc..... I know their is lead in the bearins because the universal average list a reading of (2) as the average for 3700 miles. What I do not know is if they are primarly useing aluminum,cadnium or copper and tin. I know that Toyota has in the past on their new V8's and V6's favored alloying the lead with aluminum and cadnium but I can not make the leap from what I know about the Lexus to a I4 in the Camry? If I knew who to call at TRW/Clevite to find out I would give them a call. SO if anyone has a contact name and number PM me I will call them and find out!!
