Lubeguard Red in 01 VW Cabrio

I just bought the wife her dream car (yea I know...) its an 01 VW Cabrio with the 01M trans and 2.0 engine. Trans shifts great for having over 100k miles on it but I hear these autos are time bombs so I tried the preventative approach and dumped a whole bottle of Lubeguard in yesterday! Once she gets some mileage on it I'll report back.

Any of you guys use LG in a VW with positive (or negative) results?

Have only used it in Fords but I think it is worth a shot. My 01 Escape with 182k shifts like new so far, but it has been serviced every 30k.
