Help! Is Lubeguard Complete compatible with my 2018 BMW X5 xdrive35i ZF transmission? BMW lists BMW Part Number: 83222289720 (83 22 2 289 720) and the Lubguard website does not list this part number in their compatibility chart. I already have 9 qts of this Lubeguard but am hesitant to put it in (while my car sits unusable on stands as I type this - lol). Thanks!

Details, please.
Is LubeGuard Complete a base transmission fluid into which various other products are added to create "correct ATF"?
I believe I've seen the wall chart given to repair shops featuring the cars/years and transmissions.

Do you have 9 one quart bottles?
Please post photos of the labels or transcribe them. Something makes me think they might be ancient.

Don't mess with home blending transmission fluids. Or use something you just happen to have on hand.
A 2018 ZF transmission likely won't take anything special, but it will be specific.

Provide the model transmission you have.

Heavens, run out of football and people go nuts on their cars!

So you bought this fluid without checking whether it's compatible and now you've drained the transmission? Get a friend to drive you to a dealer, buy the correct fluid and return the Lubegard.

Edit: Maxlife says it's compatible....

According to lubegard’s pdf it is the correct fluid for your make and model which has an oem fluid pn: 83222152426 which is cross compatible with the pn you listed. In other words. Lubegard says it’s compatible.

How does BMW Part Number: 83222289720 = 83222152426?

From what I see they’re Both lifeguard 8 atf 3+ fluids.
I agree that both are most likely ZF-type 8 Lifeguard fluids and is an LV fluid.

Here is the ZF fluid TDS with the oil properties on the second page.

Redline's D6 makes the same "recommended for" claims:

It is possible that both ILI and Redline are using the same additive package.
