So my buddy with the 97 ram out a bottle of lubeguard in his tranny. It was slipping when it was freezing outside and the truck wasn't given any time to warm up. He said the lubeguard fixed it. So my guess was the seals were hard? Is this just a band aid or will it be fixed for good? Or will worse problems come from using it?

LG in my opinion, is one of the few actual transmission additive products that actually WORKS. It's too soon to say, it could come back later on.

So many factors to consider: How many miles on it, driving habits, fluid change. Lubeguard may have fixed, but for how long.... I'm a believer in Lubeguard and use it myself.
