Getting the tool off was a pain.
There’s a hole in the ends to hit it out with a punch, but that puts a mark on the bushing end.
Beating it didn’t help. The metal of the tool (Taiwan made tool I bought used like new years ago) is really soft. Even the thrust bearing gouges it.
The bearing made this. I guess I need another hard washer under it.
But it’s in and square. Might not look it because there’s a slight flat on the one side of the LCA. The original was like this too. We even put some paint on it.
A multi hour diversion. But it is for the best. And the other side will be faster.
