I have had lower back issues and sciatica since the 80s...comes and goes. I find that it's VITAL to drive a car with a comfy seat or I'm miserable all day. I also have some issues with osteoarthritis, and when I'm having a bad day/night I might take a Percocet and a couple of shots of Reyka vodka and that takes the edge off enough that I can sleep.
I walk 10,000+ steps a day, more like 20k if I'm home all day with the dogs. Could probably stand to lose 50 lbs, but probably never will.
I have never seen a chiropractor, and likely never will. My grandfather believed strongly in chiropractic, and even went to his chiro for what turned out to be an enlarged prostrate. He couldn't urinate and wound up in the hospital after the "adjustment" didn't take care of things. My remember my dad referring to chiropractors as "witch doctors" when I was a kid, and that negative impression has stuck with me since.
