Are any of them any good or am I asking for major disappointment from a taste perspective? Any specific brand recommendations worth trying?
Dont want artificial stuff like stevia/splenda.You mean really low/no sugar, or something with a different/artificial sweetener?
Id be interested in less swet ice cream, but no fake stuff.
We eat a lot of Indian food. I have yet to come across any Indian dessert that is not super sweet.Ive had some ice cream type desert that was home made at an Indian restaurant, super good tasting, and not as sweet as domestic store bought...
Their chocolate is really good!I eat Rebel ice cream since I do keto. The "strange" thing I do with the ice cream when I am ready to eat it is I remove the lid off it, remove the seal on it, put the lid back on it and stick it in the microwave for 36 to 37 seconds (odd, I know). The ice cream is still cold and solid, but is no longer a brick. The package says to let it sit for 15 minutes, but I don't have that kind of patience. The taste is good depending on the flavor.
Many low/no sugar ice creams are sweetened with sugar alcohols such as erythritol. Because these do not cause blood sugar spikes, some diets do not count them as carbs. I've had some of these ice creams and they tasted good, but beware of how much you eat in a sitting. Sugar alcohols cause terrible gas, and one night after eating three bowls I was up for hours with very painful gas.
