Loud squawl from front

2004 Town & Country. 79K miles.

Occasionally during the first few minutes of driving the car it squawls whenever you turn a corner; however, it eventually stops. It happens both when the car is cold and when it is hot.

The other day I turned the steering wheel and stopped and it was louder than normal. When it is making the noise you can put on the brake and slightly turn the wheel and the noise gets worse; however, again, it does not happen all the time.

Power steering pump is original and the fluid has been sucked out and replaced a year ago. I can't find any leaks.

yeah, power steering pump...Now, Fords are notorious for having a whinning pump, but I'm assuming your town and country is a Mopar.

Belt ant tensioner would be my bet. My friends 00' Cabrio does this when you turn the wheel to the locks, and occasionally when just turning it.
