Awesome show finally not a muscle car episode.... Not that I hate muscle cars but it gets old.

Part 1 already aired last Sunday however Part 1 & 2 air this Sunday.

So far this build looks awesome in how they adapted a new Elise engine with a 911 transaxle, GT40 hood design, 993 headlights and 996 gauges! Can't wait for this weekend!

The workmanship for the engine mounts look OEM just amazing work. Can't wait to see the custom suspension!

Here is a short clip about the new dash:

[sarcasm] since when is a Volkswagen Beetle a Muscle car? [/sarcasm]

I kid, i kid... sounds cool though, but i know there's just so much of "his Foose-ness", that i can take, and i've had my fill for a while, will have to look for the re-runs after a while.

Thanks for posting.

Don't know why it's referred to as a '72 Europa as it is the prior Renault engined car with the original body style that was in production up until '71.

I've seen lots of up-dated Europas most with 2L Ford/Cosworth engines that Caterham now uses.

I don't mind the body changes but the use of Porsche parts is sacrilegious!

If you could post part after it airs that would be great.

I love what he does to the cars. Some of the upgrades are excellent engineering, and the work is top notch.

I got to inspect that Challenger they redid a long time ago and it was good even under the most critical of microscopes.

As rickety as Europas were they could use some upgrades!

^^^THIS, or the Vauxhall powerplant in YOUR Caterham is what I personally would have put into this Eurpoa in lieu of the current Toy lump.

Has any crazy person ever tried to install an LSx into the middle of one of these things yet (IF it could even fit, or the platform/transaxle used handle the torque)?!?!

LSx motor would be extremely difficult to fit plus I think you might twist the chassis. Oh and the Elise engine was donated by Lotus for the show.

And what car from the late '60's couldn't do with some upgrades?
Or put another way, how many cars from that era would you even want to bother up-grading?
