Looking for paint code information

Far as I can tell, it looks like 7B? The car is a Dark Shadow Blue 87 mustang. The paint code for dark shadow blue is 7N which I do not see.

I'm looking for some spray paint that will match as close as possible. I've repaired a small area that has surface rust inside the engine compartment in the battery location. It's primered now,just need to get the paint.

Battery corner cleaning and repainting (a good thing to do) was always a "close is good enough" for the shabby cars I owned.
I know you want to do yours right.
The single experience with NAPA's "mixed fresh" spray cans was stellar on a replacement mirror and a small body patch on a 20 year old, dark green F-150.

Try looking up both 7N and 7B on supplier's sites.
Or go into an auto paint shop and tell 'em your dilemma. They'll know.

According to automotivetouchup.com, Ford code 7B does indeed come back as "Shadow Blue Metallic". They sell premixed spray cans that should work for what you need.
