Looking for a K&N oversize filter

I currently use the HP-1004 K&N on my 2002 Acura 3.2TL. I am looking for an appropriate oversize K&N oil filter.

I am aware of the Mobil 1 M1-105 oversize..unfortunatly they are not available in Ontario.

Has anyone used the Amsoil SDF-44.?? how does it rate..??

The oversize K&N is the K&N 1005, but it is larger, not longer. Here is an oilfilter study that may give you some info:

Thnaks for the HP-1005 info... so I went to my local automotive store (Cdn Tire) that has an OK selection of K&N filters.. and of course they dont carry the 1005 in general stock.. -its a special order, listed for Mitsubishi's - if it does not fit I am stuck with it..
Has anyone used the 1005 in an Acura without any problemes..?

I would stick with the recommended filter until your warranty expires. If your dealer wants to be a jerk, and you have a problem, you don't want the wrong filter on there. Just my opinion though, Joe

Good point...
Due to the current Acura transmission issues, powertrain warranty is now 7 years or 110,000km.
I KNOW I wont be rolling that many km's in the remaining 5.5 years...

.. 20 years maybe...
