I purchased a new Longacre oil can cutter I saw as the highest ranking unit on Google rankings.it is an aluminum handle and anodized body.
The Longacre oil filter cutter features a filter cutting range of 2-3/8" - 4-3/4"

That's a wallet empty! Was this the only research you did? Plenty of them on river store or flea market online for <$20.

Doesn't even have a Lifetime Warranty at that price. I could buy three cutters for that but I can simply replace the cutters instead.

do they honor free returns i would return it and order an eBay or amazon cutter.

Understandable but that is no deal. I think we want others to be aware as well. At least you've decided to get a filter & I think you'll have fun with it.

Yes, I did cut on OG Ultra (and a thick MicroGard Select) with an eBay clone cutter ... works good.

You should be able to return it, even if you have to pay shipping, you will still wind up with a better price at Amazon.

~$61, ouch. Longacre a good cutter for sure, but now with all significantly less expensive and well made copy cats, not that good. The Proform also a nice cutter, but now also relatively too expensive. I'm still using my $15 made in Taiwan HF exhaust cut off tool, no longer sold. If buying new now, likely get one of the Longacre knockoffs.
