I am urging you folks to go to your borough or Township or Municipality meetings. This is the time of year when Budgets get approved.

I think you are likely to see that your local government is buckling over bc of employee labor (hourly/benefits/retirement costs). Its easy to see that the picture is very ugly. Of course the results are increased taxes.

What we are seeing though is that real estate tax receipts are going down bc of foreclosure and increasingly because people aren't paying.

Well worth a few hours a month of your time.

Very true. Let's just leave it at the point that it makes sense as a good informed citizen to know what is going on.

Since politics are not allowed here, town meetings are a great place to get viewpoints out!
