Local AAP clearing out Purolator stock?

Hi all, long time lurker and just recently became a member of BITOG, because I too am OCD about the oil and filters that go on to my vehicles. Anyways, my local Advance Auto cleared their entire Purolator One stock from their shelves with only a few Puro Bosses still on the shelves. I asked the one of the employees why, and they didn’t have a clear answer. I then asked what they would replace them with and they were not sure of that yet either. The main manager wasn’t there at the time as well or I would have asked him. Has anybody else experienced anything like this at their AAP? Just curious.

Yes, I too have found AAP employees to be clueless.

Doubtful. All ones near me just moving slow selling cartridge P1 filters. And cheap too.

I was just on RockAuto and on a particular make/model I was looking at, the Purolator Boss oil filters were on closeout. They were priced well over $6, not a great price for being on closeout.

Probably replace Purolator with Fram filters built for AAP. Fram Force,Fram Drive,Fram Titantium
