I use Auto-Rx in a Camry v-6 and have a newer 4.7 Toyota.I did a Nuetra treatment on the oil.Now have#132 in the oil.Would using 3-4 oz of Auto-Rx be good to keep the engine clean without using a whole bottle?
The vehicle has 23k.and a 6.5qt sump.
Thanks

re:Nuetra is not a long term maintenance type product. Bob has said this many times on various posts, so why are you using Nuetra in this mode ?

Of late there seems to be to much reliance on someones post about a product (or how people interpeted the post) and not enough
research done by person considering using the product. Go to any product's web site and look for hard test data, then go to manufactures web site and read "Material Data Safety Sheet" if product is not guaranteed to work in application you want it for, and you don't practice "due diligence' in your research on a product, than your at fault. There are a lot of fair knowlegeable contributors to this board however surely not everyone fits that description.

Rich,

You can use Neutra as a flush, but recommend against it as a maintenance fluid. And never mix Neutra, Lube Control, or Auto-Rx.

You didn't say what kind of oil or viscosity you were using with #132. Go lightly with the #132 (use sparingly) and only use it only for light 30 weights.

Follow directions from the Auto-Rx web site as to maintainance dose.

Addendum: I have mixed 132 with Franks Auto-RX and they mix well.

If I were going to just do internal engine cleaning, I would NOT use 132 with Auto-RX, so as not place any impediments to the esters in ARX. The base fluid of 132 is also an ester, a very thick ester.

Here is my recommendation (based on my opinion, not testing): Use the 132 for normal driving (and sparingly). Before every 3rd oil change, stop the 132 and add your maintenance dose of ARX.

Thank you Molakule for the answers I hoped for.
How much is sparingly?I followed the directions on the container i.e.the whole thing. The motor is newer so I didn't think I needed to ARx.I have used ARx in another and wanted to keep this one clean inside.
Frank,
I'm sorry I upset you.I need answers and this is the best place to ask.Sometimes we put $$ ahead of
everything that is why I Nuetraed the engine.

RichR,

The label directions for 132 are for oil burners, not for regular use in new engines. I know the label doesn't differentiate, but that is from experience. Using the full pint would raise the viscosity of the final mix considerably. As I have stated earlier in other threads, do a VOA on the mix before using. Any supplement is not to used indiscriminately. Search the VOA's and used oil analysis as others have posted oil/132 mixes as well.

4-5 ounces are sufficient for light XW30 weights, such as for Mobil 1 10W30 SS and other light-30-weights.

Again, what oil are you using?

With that low mileage why would you need to add anything to the oil? I don't get it!

Just do your regular drains and go with a high quality synthetic and conventional. Synthetics would be my first choice. Use a synthetic and forget the add-ins!

Molakule,
I'm using Mobil DC 10w30.Mobil 1 10w30 in winter only on the Toyota 4.7.
Castrol GTX 5w30,10w30 in a Toyota 3.0.I would say I have over treated. Both got a full pint.
Amkeer,
A friend used moly for many years in a Chevy van it went 300k without motor problems.
Thanks Molakule

Gentleman ,
Do you think any harm could occur from such an overdose?
Would a follow up ARx be a good idea to clean them out and start over?
Geez now I'm worried instead of helping I hurt my Toyotas.
Thanks for the warning!

For summer driving, I doubt you harmed much.

I would drain at least one quart of oil and add new oil to thin the mix back down.

Since you have a new, clean engine, I really don't think you need ARX at this time.

You get very little moly with the 132, but do get a decent amount of Antimony dithiocarbamate. The ester carrier and surfactant are about a 220 cSt viscosity, but disperse quickly in an oil. However, adding a lot of 132 will thicken oil and move it "out-of'grade.".

My advice is stay with the Mobil 1 10W30 SS and only add about 6 oz. of 132 for summer and only 4 oz. for winter.

Or, go with Schaeffer's #703 blend.

MolaKule,

I am confused about the use of #132 and raising viscosity. Can you explain this prior statement? I assume you found out some new info- right?

quote:

MolaKule ....No problem. What I was pointing out was that the EP additive 132 did not raise viscosity to any significant levels. Since the carrier does not contain thickeners, then the pour point should not rise as well...

Rich hope you got my e-mail sent through this board over a week ago.Your oil has an additive package already in it. Auto-Rx does not alter the chemistry of your oil or it's additive package. . .." 3 ounce maintenance of Auto-Rx in every oil change ( after you have cleaned your engine) give benefits that are measurable, stable and cost effective. ie: Increased compression-effective combustion- no seal leaks-extended engine life-low operating cost per mile."

Frank,
Sorry I had to change e-mail and did not change it here. Please resend so I can have your advice.
I did give the Camry v6 3oz of ARx.Please give me a message.

RichR, On a positive note the 4.7 in your Tundra is based on the 4.0 Lexus V8. It does not suffer from any oil/sludge issues. As a matter of fact it has been my experince that the 4.7 is preety gentle on the Mobil 1 10W30 and 15W50. My Moms truck makes a 24 mile round trip 6-7 days a week and her oil looks almost as good at 5000 miles as it did comeing out of the bottle. I can only guess that this is due mostly to tight emisions system controls? I will have to take a smaple and test it to see what the wear metals look like.

Rich glad your following advice.Your always going to have people on message boards who specialize is disinformation,to impact negatively is the core of there agenda.

Frank,

What post or posts above have disinformation?

RichR stick with your regular oil changes and you will be fine. No need to worry about adding this or that to the oil.
