Linux MATE, a fesh install in 13 minutes flat!

I was trying out Ubuntu for a while, but decided to move back to MATE, so I popped in the boot disk. I noted the time from power on, until the prompt to restart... 13 minutes. Factor in roughly one additional minute to reboot and bring up the net and I'm surfing.

Linux is great! Suck it Massive Soft (Command and Conquer reference) and Windows!!!!

Mate is a desktop environment, not a distro in of itself. Mate is LinuxMint under the hood, which is Debian based just like Ubuntu.

I haven't fed Massive Soft any money in quite some time... plenty of peeps pay them, just not me

Correct- I should have stated that, but figured most here already knew.

edit: It also saves space in the title line by eliminating the "Mint"

I love Linux...the only way I'll ever get a windows computer again is if I buy one used. Microsoft isn't going to get a penny from me!
