I just won this welder on EBAY with the help of a snipe. The instruction manual on the web says a 100 AMP plug. Can that be right?

Can this do everything my old Lincoln 225 welder can do? Keep both? Sell the Lincoln 225?

Will the arc starts be easier with the Invertec than with the Lincoln 225.

It calls for a 100 amp plug because it'll pull about 68 amps if you run it on 208-230v single phase at its max amperage output.

What supply voltage and phase are you going to hook it to?

Yes, the only thing that will happen is the circuit breaker trips.

Is your Lincoln 225 ac only or ac/dc?

The Lincoln 225 is AC only. My Dad probably bought it in the 1970s.
