Hello BITOG'ers, If this belongs in auto repair, please move me....
My '01 Villager, Also known as a V41 Nissan Quest needs some new lift supports for the rear window and hatch.
I had a bad experience with Monroe's, most conveniently UPS lost them on return to RockAuto so I got my money back in the end to buy better ones.
The problem with the Monroes was on the glass, they were waaay too strong, sent that glass flying up in a hurry, nearly gave me a nice undercut.....
And the ones for the hatch were too weak, not opening fast enough and not holding the hatch completely open on there own.
Brands at my disposal is Sachs, Strongarm, Rhinopac/Worldcar, & AMS.
Real world experience/info would me much appreciated.
Im leaning towards the Sachs, as There struts are well liked, but fill me in.
Much thanks
-Mike
