Was watching the T.V. the other day (rarity these days), and they were talking about the atmosphere on Titan containing considerable quantities of Methane.

Certainly got the brain cells wondering where this gas came from, considering that it's considered to be a fossil fuel derived from the destruction of organics.

Interestingly, there is a lot of evidence (lack of craters), that Titan also has fairly active geology.

So is it a bunch of cows dotting the Titan landscape, or an abiotic source of "fossil" fuels ?

Since there are no Moo-Moo's dotting the landscape, we have to assume that methane (CH4), a hydrocarbon gas mix of carbon and hydrogen molecules, stems from abiotic processes.

"What's fun about that?" (Tom Hanks in "BIG")

"...thirty nine (lash) ..forty ..(lash) ..cut 'im loose!"

"You're no fun anymore" (Eric Idol in "Monty Python's Flying Circus)
