Real late 90s early 2000s bling culture right there
"96 big body sitting on chrome"
Lexus chrome plating doesn't seem to peel/corrode as badly as GM/Chrysler chrome rims
In front of black Lexus, Chevy on the roam…As we head up out the zone, stone-facin' is on
You can admire, but don't look too long
I'm livin' a dream with triple beams and my pockets bulgin'
It's hard to imagine, picture me rollin'
Picture me rollin'......
SORRY!!! I Had to!
While I was researching quiet tires for the LEX I came across a quote from a song that really took me back. I found myself setting here singing it word for word and I have not heard the song in over a decade. I guess good 90's rap never leaves you.....
Man do I ever remember (a million systems from those days) but I really remember this CD in my 1989 Subaru RX, AWD, Turbo, 5spd with 2 15" Kicker XPLs in the hatch with a punch 1100a2 running those and a punch 460a4 on the highs which were probably pioneer in those days because that's what I could have afforded. Oh yeah, andf I ran that system for probably a year with ZERO sound deadener!! Oh my was it embarrassing looking back... But **** did it ever slam!
Thanks for the memory! Sorry to re-gurge an old post...
I gots to get the f*** up in it, formulate a caperIn front of black Lexus, Chevy on the roam…
My parents forbade me listening to rap growing up in the 1990s, but Tupac is a legend. Now you’re making me want to listen to it tomorrow, I do have a Kicker Hideaway 8” added onto a factory Toyota/JBL sound system, using RCAs off my Pioneer deck.
Lexus did have a factory chrome wheel option on the LS430. My parent’s 05 with the Modern Luxury package(no air suspension, and that’s a good thing) had them as a port installed option. The Costco tire techs told me they never seen a chrome wheel look that good, the beads were free of peeling chrome.
I gots to get the f*** up in it, formulate a caper
'Cause a n**** straight sufferin' from lack of havin' paper
(CPO verse, not a Tupac verse)
Same here regarding the music lock down, as a youngin. Honestly, it should have been that way for those growing up in my demographic to a certain point!
My household was country music and what would now be considered classic rock then grunge I guess. I still love it all and my kids have grown to be the same way, they love all kinds of music.
I had to sneak to listen to rap until I was probably 16 (most rap anyway). I was getting into 12v electronics so heavily that it then came with the territory in DD setups and SPL fun, I did not move onto SQ until I was 18 or so then I found true audiophile bliss! With all the animalistic tendencies FLuffy was involved in, ya have to wonder what Biggie knew, witnessed or was involved in and how far would "Fluff Dummy" go to keep his mouth shut.....
