luckily bitog is the only reason those pictures exist.

having trouble sleeping? isn't it 4 :24 AM over there?

Whoa! mori is back!

FYI, I just tried Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse. Didn't much lake the fermented aftertaste. Do all wheat beers taste this way?

You should eat a salty pretzel with that. I haven't had any light beer in ages. I only drink the occasional Doppelbock!

Shiner makes some decent Texas brew. I grab a sixer of them on occasion.

The brewer at my local brewery calls Stella the "Bud Light of Belgians"

Oh, I always keep shiner on hand. There's about three in the fridge right now. I don't know if you can get them in the can up there like we have down here, but if you do... Slather some olive oil on a whole chicken, rub it down with tony c's and shove a can of shiner up it's butt. Grill till the juices run clear from the thick part of the thigh. It makes the very best beer can chicken.

brew is happily fermenting away. hit 30 deg C here today so ambient temps made it a bit warm. the brew is a bit on the warm side.

Over across the pond in the UK, its commonly referred to as the wifebeater beer.

Yuengling Lager is okay. I think some of their other solid offerings such as Porter, Black and Tan and Lord Chesterfield Ale get overlooked. If you ever get a chance, try some Saranac. They have a fantastic Pale Ale!

The old "Streetcar Named Desire" reference. At least they are literate louts.

Here's something I do.

Mix a can of beer with 2ounces of whiskey, 2oz of vodka, scotch, and a little-I mean little-of Gen

Not sure if anybody around on here has heard of Saranac, but its brewed not far from where I work in the city where I grew up. They've got quite a variety. Not my favorite beers but I will drink them.
http://www.saranac.com/

I usually like the darker beers like Guiness and Sam Adams, irish reds like Killians.

Basically any time I see a beer I haven't tried when I'm out eating or at the store picking up stuff I'll try it.

reminds me of that scene from Lord of War with Nick Cage where he does lines of coke mixed with gun powder.

I've got two 12 packs of Saranac (one IPA and one trailmix) waiting in the wings to go into my beer fridge. I grabbed both when I was in New York a few weeks ago.

I tried two new to me beers this weekend, New Belgium Fat Tire and Harpoon Oktoberfest.

I decided to cook fajitas tonight on the grill so here I am with Corona #2 in hand. Salt on the outside, lime on the inside. I rarely drink Mexican beers, but they have their place. Currently 90F at 7:00PM here in Houston - that's the proper time and temperature for a beer like this.
