I've worked Christmas many times, and other holidays. On call today.
Still not another day to me. All in how your attitude is. The best gift I can give, is care to another person suffering on any day, especially a holiday. Care with empathy, and the best projection of positive energy I can muster. Would not matter what job I had, the holiday is in your heart and mind as you do your job. You can celebrate it through your cheerful service.
I am very grateful to those who have, and continue to protect my ability to enjoy this holiday, and my way of life.
I am grateful to all of you who have served, and are serving.

My take is that I treat people the same, regardless of what day it is. I don't care who they are, or what their past is, I simply care how they are at the moment, within my professional purview. The largest part of customer satisfaction is feeling that you are being treated fairly and equally, I've found. It's innate from the time you're a child.
