I currently have a spare set of lights that use H3 bulbs in my car. Unfortunately, the bulbs do not last long and quickly die out within a few months of use. Is there a LED replacement that can be purchased for them? Would it be easy to retrofit an LED to fit in and shine?

Key bit, anything online must be delivered to Canada.

I don't think there are places to buy led headlight bulbs that emit enough light in the place of normal bulbs.
I know some cars are coming out with led headlights but this is completely different.

The problem is the filament breaks and flops around inside the bulb. Thus not completing the necessary circuit. So, a volt meter would no longer work in this situation.

The LED's won't produce much light output.

But if you really want to try them:

H3's don't have the best life (in hours) to begin with.

halogen bulbs expect full voltage. unlike regular bulbs, which run longer at lower voltage, halogens last SHORTER TIMES if the bulb is run at lower voltage. a meter might help find this out. also - an overheated assembly doesn't help bulb life.

Please don't replace your headlights with LED's. You are going to get yourself or someone else seriously injured or killed.
