25 years earlier and a few miles south of the "runaway bride's" home, these young Atlanta residents were missing and all truned up murdered. No 24 hour wall-to-wall coverage by CNN, FoxNews and CNBC. Heck, Faye Yearby was bound to a tree and stabbed but for some reason never made "the list". No 600 person wedding, no real "human" interest for average TV viewers. After Wayne Williams arrest, the media took more interest.

I'd say we're following the "talking heads" lead because the turned a simple missing person's case into a "media event" and got burned. They wanted this story to go on. Yep, they wanted a trial, etc.

Hey, big-time TV. Go talk to the families of the 31 victims named above instead of harrassing the "runnaway bride's" familiy. You're in Atlanta. Why not?

With flame suit on,

Jack

No flame from me, Jack. Every radio and TV on-air person now seems to think they are a personality with an important opinion. Who gives a rat's patootie what they think?

What I wanna know is what she was doing in Los Vegas? Just cold feet, or a good old last carnal retreat??

She needs to pay

Money sounds too easy for that family however. Some time of community service would be nice. Hours should be calculated as total dollars wasted divided by 30,000 per annual income. Maybe even waiving the cost for the first 24 hours, assuming she didn't know she made headlines.

That should keep her busy for a few years.

The would-be groom needs to admit it: it's over. If she's willing to pull this ice-cold, selfish, flake action now, what will she do if they ever do tie the knot? And according to the latest news, he still wants to marry her. Wait till they have a family and then split up and she accuses him of molesting the kids, etc. (Those of you who want to hit sex offenders hard after all the high-profile cases recently, by the way, think about that scenario. It's hard to defend yourself against such accusations, especially if she coaches the kids to say that dad did them. Plenty of people in prison based on just a kid's made-up say-so.)

This all assumes that she acted unilaterally. However, I have suspicions . . . Here's another possible scenario:

My hunch is that the two were going to elope to avoid the fuss and show of that huge wedding, and he knew of her trip and intended to join her. Las Vegas, her original destination before she went to Albuquerque, is not a typical "runaway" destination, but it is a regular wedding/honeymoon spot. This would explain why he seemed so calm on camera after her "disappearance". You could even look at his comment before her reappearance (that if this was a case of cold feet, it was the strangest case he'd ever heard of) as an attempt to throw others off the track.

Once he fell under suspicion and the cops seized the household computer equipment, however, the two realized they had to call off the plans to elope because he was under too much scrutiny and couldn't leave town to join her. This led to her going to Albuquerque from Las Vegas and then calling the cops with the phony abduction story. Just my conjecture and opinion here, but I wonder if in the end this will turn out to be the truth. Watch the news to come.

Yea you can almost see them rolling around there like in a bobble-head.

You may be right about the bed thing bc otherwise she is one ugly looking bish.

But I don't think she committed any crime, unless lying and saying she was kidnapped is a crime, which it may be.

Up here in Canada it is a crime. It is called "Public Mischief" and is certainly frowned upon by the courts.

It would be a total waste of time and more money to charge the woman. For sure, there will be a woman on the jury and I know she'll never convict given that most sacrosanct of laws of human nature:

A Woman's Right to Change Her Mind!

Last time I checked it's not illegal to leave and not tell anyone.
Now calling 911 and lying for no reason is is.

As said before, that is the on Albuquerque DA's decision to prosecute (or not) the false 911 call.
Duluth has nothing to charge her with.
She took off and didn't tell anyone, not a crime.

The news media wastes all this time in depth reporting (again) of a missing well off white woman.

During this time the House passes a bill that reduced veterens benefits again, and to make national ID cards mandatory... 'Show me your papers'.
THAT is big news that affects everyone, yet nary a peep.
Very troubleing.
