Leaky freeze plugs and coolant system sealer

I have a leaky freeze plug that is buried in the motor so I do not want to tear the motor out to fix it.

Anyone had any luck with something like Bar's Leak Liquid Aluminum stop leak?

I had a Suburban w/a leaker that was VERY hard to get to (SB 350, back of the engine behind torque converter)-Bar's Leak slowed it down, but wouldn't stop it completely, didn't hurt my (admittedly new) radiator a bit. Used conventional green A/F, couldn't get the time to pull the transmission to save a couple bucks on antifreeze!

I've used a powdered product (silver seal) a few times quite successfully.

It will probably work... but my concern is that you have a paper thin corroded like swiss cheese core plug down in there and that it will eventually blow out completely while the system's pressurized. Most likely on a Sunday when you're 300 miles from home...
