Anyone familiar with VW leaky sunroofs?

Had an '04, it leaked like twice into the dome light. Don't recall if I snaked the drains, maybe I did. Prefer to avoid going forward, just one more thing to do, on something I don't need to have in the first place (no love for them, would rather not have so as to avoid the issue altogether).

Our 2018 Tiguan leaked 8 months into ownership. It was excessive rare pollen season and it plugged drains. They cleared them and it never happened again however there was a fix I believe opening end of drain tubes more they performed another time as service bulletin.

No issues since and have 177k on car and it been thru a few 12”-15”+ rain events since.
