LC retreat rates

I've been adding 1 oz. of LC every 1,000 miles, but my oil level is currently a little above the "full" mark from doing this. I thought LC was supposed to "burn off" after 500-800 miles. Do the active ingredients just stop working but remain in liquid form? If I ran this oil 20,000 miles, I think I would have overfilled by 20 oz...

One of the instructions on Molakule's paper on LC and FP was "do not overfill crankcase".

If you didnt burn anything, I guess you dont need it?
