I'm looking for a lawn mower lift I can use to raise the mower up enough for me to service the blades and underside of the deck.
Any suggestions for a durable one? One that will last for years.

I assume this would be for a rider? Push mower just gets power lifted (me) onto the workbench. I like that Pro-Lift one though.

I use an engine hoist similar to this:

Do you have a garden tractor or a ZTR mower, for my Scag mower I use a jungle Jack I’ve had it for 30+ years

1) bend at the knees
2) lift so the carb is facing the sky
3) lean it against something solid like a cinder block, maybe drain the oil too if you like.
4) service underside of deck

I tried that for kicks and giggles last year, just to see if I could lift the front end of my Z535M. I quickly gave up on that effort. The mower weighs 630 lbs. 😬 I could lift the front if my life depended on it, but that's it.

I just remove the deck - a bit more work but considering they take the worst beating - blades done right - lots to clean and maintain …
Sometimes change the belt preemptively …

FARPOINT FARMS has a video on Y.T. for the FISHER Heavy Duty Mower and A.T.V. Lift that's sold at HARBOR FREIGHT . Very detailed .

Is it a tractor style or a zero-turn? On the tractors driving the front up on car ramps works fine for this and they are also useful for cars versus buying something special purpose.

I found the ramps always block the deck when I get it up high enough, I found a guy on You tube that built ramps from 2x8' and had the ramp part hinged so once you got the wheels on the top you could swing the ramp out of the way. It works great on the truck too, I dont have to try and get around the ramp to get to the oil drain. That said you still have to be on your back to get to anything and the lift would be a help getting the impact driver on the blade bolts.

That sparked a memory. The last time I tried to do anything on a mower using ramps, it was on my old L100-series John Deere back in the mid-2010s. IIRC I was planning to change the blades, but there was some reason the ramps didn't work so I ended up removing the deck to get to the blades. It was most likely the ramps interfering with my access to the deck.
