I found this gem through a buddy of mine, and I think it's going to be a home run. It's a 2014 Chrysler 200S, 3.6 with 153k miles. Triple black with the sunroof and touchscreen radio. The PO stopped driving it due to the transmission going in to limp mode and they didn't want to deal with replacing the transmission given the higher miles and whatnot.
When I first looked at it, I scanned it and the only transmission codes were electrical codes. Nothing about slippage, nothing about shift errors. The 62TE is a very smart transmission, if there was a real issue with the mechanicals it would have thrown a code. After clearing the codes, the transmission shifted perfectly for about 5 minutes until it warmed up then it would go into fail-safe mode.
Fast forward to this week, I ordered an OEM solenoid pack and replaced it. The transmission now shifts perfectly. Other than that, it needs 2 tires and rear pads and rotors, and I've got to figure out the P0455 code it threw, but otherwise it's a solid car. Best part? It cost me $1,200. All said and done, I might be in it for $1,700. In today's market it's worth $6-6,500. All in all not a bad score!
