Larger oil filter ?

Does anyone know the larger oil filter number if there is one, for a 1985 Oldsmobile 5 Liter gas in a Purolator PureONE filter?

I have the regular PureONE filter number being PL25288.

What's the point? The regular oil filter will work fine. A larger filter is just a feel-good measure. If you do substitute, be absolutely sure that the thread is the same, the gasket is the correct thickness and diameter, and the internal bypass valve, if it is supposed to have one, has the same value.

By the way, if the filter fails and you have engine damage, and you use the specified filter for your engine in the filter maker's catalog, the filter maker is liable for the cost of repairs. If you use other than the specified filter, you're on your own.
